In the beginning of the chapter, Odysseus poured arrows on the ground at his feet. He tells all the suitors that “the match that was to seal your fate is over.” He then pointed an arrow at Antinous and shot him in the neck. All the suitors believed that Odysseus shot Antinous by accident. It had not dawned on them that being killed by Odysseus was their fate and they would soon be next. After Eurymachus spoke, he attempted to kill Odysseus with a bronze sword. When Eurymachus’ attempt failed to kill the great Odysseus, Odysseus shot an arrow in his chest and a second in the liver. Telmachus, and two servants fought side by side with Odysseus against all the suitors. All the suitors were killed and the Great Odysseus, Telemachus and his loyal two servant saved the day!
